Live Illustrated Virtual Hui
Live Illustrated Virtual Hui
This was a virtual hui from Māori health service providers across the Motu (island) to share their experiences and insights about what was working for their whānau (families).
We heard from 13 different providers on the different practices and initiatives they were employing, as well as connecting live to a first-nations group (Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre) in Canada who were using a family group conference technique they were taught by Māori practitioners.
They shared the incredible stats on the return on investment ($3.69 benefit for every $1 invested) and their success in reuniting over 250 families and children. They even took us through their rituals of a pipe ceremony and did their traditional dances. It goes to show that there are interesting ways to make an online hui engaging; utilising live illustration, song ritual and dance.
We capture the content and synthesise it turning it into a visual treat that is easily digestible.
