Live Illustrated Virtual Hui
ABOUT
Hui a Tau is a yearly event, run by Toi Tangata, for practitioners of mātauranga Māori to share and connect around the kaupapa of hauora.
The kōrero was centred around holistic practical application like kai, wai and korikori. The result is a set of rich illustrations full of wisdom and some practical tips for using mātauranga Māori to improve hauora.
We were privileged to be asked to attend and capture the hui through live digital illustration in 2021 and 2022. Some of the talks were fully in Te Reo Māori but most were bilingual.
WHAT WE DID
Digital Art
Digital illustration created on an Ipad Pro – can be projected-live, printed or shared online. It is able to be refined until it is perfect.
Virtual/Zui
Digital illustration projected live into the video call. Adding magic to online hui.
