Noku Te Ao
Live Illustrated hui with Illustrated Video
ABOUT
Noku Te Ao is an evolution of the highly successful Like Minds Like Us initiative. Centering it in a Te Ao Māori worldview it was launched during Matariki. In the words of Rangi Mataamua, one of the keynote speakers, “Matariki is the time to focus on Wellbeing”.
Live illustration was integrated into this event through the use of digitally-drawn animated clips. These were projected at the start of each keynote to introduce the speakers. The experience was enhanced through in person live illustration projected onto the big screen at the event.
The result was a magical experience which celebrated wellbeing and connected us all to the stars.
WHAT WE DID
Digital Art
Digital illustration created on an Ipad Pro – can be projected-live, printed or shared online. It is able to be refined until it is perfect.
Illustrated Video
Animated videos created from our digital art, or timelapse recordings of us drawing on walls, paper and other surfaces.
Live In-Person
Created live in the room while the conversations are happening, ideas are flowing and atmosphere is being soaked up.
